Steer clear of the pull through sharpeners, they tend to do more harm than good from what I've seen. I've got some kitchen knives that will attest to that. Stones are great but personally I had a hard time keeping the angle consistent. I picked up a Worksharp on a recommendation a few years back and it's been fantastic! It just makes it so simple! It'll clamp the knife and you can flip sides without unclamping and it locks the angle for you so it's the same every time. It's fool proof and I'm the fool that proved it! I can get my knife back to razor sharp in just a couple minutes. To be fair, someone skilled with using a stone could probably do the same. I see they make lots of fancy, expensive models now but the basic one has done everything I've ever needed it to do. Looks like the price went up a bit unfortunately. It was $47 when I bought it in 2021 and it's $70 now. Its still probably worth that price but maybe wait for a sale if you can.
