My babies figured it out in a few tries when we used these cups and preloaded the short upper part with water: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CRVYGYY6?ref_=pe_148126100_1193965070_i_fed_asin_title Also look into whether he has a high-arched palate. My girls do, and it makes them dribble breast milk and water because it affects their seal.

For some reason your links don’t work but just want to say that I fell for the marketing for the bear one— my 10-month-old could not care less about it. This one is the one that my baby actually paid attention to: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CRVYGYY6 The First Years Squeeze & Sip Toddler Straw Cups - Squeezable Transition Sippy Cup with Silicone Straw - Toddler Feeding Supplies - 7 Oz - 3 Count - Ages 6 Months and Up I think that different cups work for different babies and tbh it’s just a game of which cup they’re willing to practice on the most. That’s all it really is— getting them to practice. I didn’t do anything to teach my baby to drink through a straw. We had a lot of failed attempts and then one day she just got it. I liked that the ones linked above were way cheaper than the damn bear though. If you’re in the SF Bay Area I’ll gladly give you mine! Never been used 🥲
