700 average... yes; 700 peak (the way most TVs are rated) barely. 1000 nits would be my minimum for outdoor. Many true outdoor have a peak of 2000nits (Samsung and others)and semi "waterproof" really IP56 water resistant. These are two of the main reasons outdoor sets are so expensive. You are paying for durability and brightness. An indoor set with a protective enclosure and a hood around it to help keep direct light off the panel might be enough. The cheapest route would be shades that you pull down around your protected area. I have friends with them and we can watch TV and movies on the projector during the day and everyone likes the added shade. He does have an ALR screen (ambient light rejecting). This set up would cost less than a Samsung 55" outdoor TV. I have not seen these in person but Syvox makes budget outdoor TVs 1000nits vs 2000nits Samsung Sylvox on Amazon Sylvox site: https://sylvoxtv.com/collections/outdoor-tv
