Pennington is known to use AI in some of their newer packaging. It's really obvious here if you zoom in on the woodpecker's feet.

They seemingly announced the artstyle change in 2025, which matches up with the AI boom. I think a little more damning than that, though, are this woodpecker's feet. They look like yarn. I'm assuming it's AI that probably had some touching up by a graphic artist after the fact. Eye shines in some of the "designs" are a giveaway, though.
