I have a 300r. Similar problem with the model having a real small rear seat. Didn’t wanna add brackets, so got these: Tail bag 22-34L: https://a.co/d/03f5TxOZ Side bags: https://a.co/d/0bW0Tacl If you’re traveling for work I’d get the next size up on the tail bag, especially since your bike is slightly larger than mine I think it could fit it fine. The next size up can fit a 15” laptop in a padded sleeve with plenty of other stuff. The 22-34L fits mine but it doesn’t lay flat… not ideal. If you do add side brackets or saddle stays there are a lot more options out there for the 650r but agreed it gets expensive quick.
