It felt like a momentous checkpoint. I was prepared for it and knew what to expect. It wasn't traumatic in any way for me. I should thank my mom for that. But we didn't use wet wipes or a bidet, which makes it much harder for young girls adjusting and trying to keep clean. Bidet add-ons are $30 and they're a must for hygiene in my opinion, especially for people who menstruate, but also for those who don't! I've installed three and it gets easier each time. All you need is traditional pliers. Easy, takes 20-30 minutes. Turn off the water first and use a tutorial. Put a towel down for when you release the first hose, as some leftover water might trickle out. We have two of these.
