I almost completely agree with the knife sentiment, except for one style that most people wouldn't think to get for themselves. It's a deli slicer, and it's incredibly versatile for bread, tomatoes, fruit, etc. My ex got me a Wusthof one that I used constantly, and I ordered a cheaper knockoff that is still solid. I just looked and it doesn't look like Wusthof makes it anymore. Here is the cheaper one I would buy Amazon Deli Knife
