The primary issue I have with Lynq is the battery performance. It's generally only good for 8 hours. I have installed fresh 1500mah flat packs in mine as one pillowed recently requiring replacement, and even bench calibrating the battery with my Venom RC Lipo charger, which verified the packs have an actual usable capacity of 1568mah (rare a battery holds more capacity than advertised, leading me to believe they are actually 1600mah packs like the OEM Topwell model) and soldering the old connector wires on, the real world usage is still ~8 hours. Annoyingly there is no real power-off, either. "Standby" still saps the battery. Battery I used: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BG7YQTNV My solution is to carry a micro USB cable with a 10A jump pack to keep the thing juiced. This gets you a few days of power but adds another bulky item to my hiking bag. Albeit only a few more ounces in weight it's still another thing. I get why Lynq chose the design limitations they did with a 1600mah pack to keep it portable, but real world use is compromised. Other than the battery life issue, I don't experience GPS connectivity issues OUTDOORS. Indoors is another story. The GPS antenna is hidden in the carabiner-style clip, looped around the ring, which is not ideal because if you clip it to anything metal it definitely slows down connection, and when you grip it with your hand, you are effectively covering the entire antenna. Obviously this is a non-ionizing so the signal performance is only degraded, not eliminated, but it is yet another compromise to the design where an arial or external antenna would have offered substantially better performance. I am not an industrial designer and am not sure I could have done better with the given aesthetics so it is what it is.
