You’ll never be able to fully protect your clothing no matter the storage solution if you don’t address the moths. My grandmother had many high-end items and she used cedar boxes and garment bags for her storage. She also used moth balls, which I would be loath to use. We lost a gorgeous wool rug to moths and I went nuts trying to solve the problem. The answer was these roach control things that also work on moths (we have white clothing moths). They’re per safe and eliminate the moths ability to reproduce. We also used beneficial wasps but I have no idea how much they did. You have to check your clothing often and store it clean. Any human oils make clothing more attractive to moths. Whatever your storage solution, pull it out every month or so and flap it out and inspect to make sure there are no eggs. I’ve been storing my stuff in this older, dark colored (opaque) Rubbermaid container and there’s been no color fading or off gassing, and I’ve added with some sachets of herbs. Good luck.
