The GoPro is my camera of choice for family vacations because of the compact size and durability. All modern GoPros are waterproof without the need for an extra housing. The man drawback of the gopro is the microphone quality, which has always been a shortcoming of the camera, but you learn to work with it you start to make your first few videos.
