I believe that smart things supports devices that use zigbee. Zigbee is just a wireless protocol that some devices use. It's a mesh system, so the more you have the better it works... Unlike wifi. I don't have that platform so I don't know for sure, but you should be able to add one of these.

If you were doing cans, you could do ThirdReality bulbs. Otherwise I'd go with Hue
