Wifi extenders have never worked well for me inside or outside. I have tried a few outdoor options, so far that one that’s been working well for me is this asus bd5 mounted just under the roof on a two story house: https://a.co/d/08GnghWe Except for a very few locations it covers my yard pretty well. At a commercial property I have an NVR camera system setup that uses POE and solar wifi cameras. I wanted to be able to access them remotely. So I mounted an outdoor 4g router by cudy: https://a.co/d/0hy8Rty1 Since I’m using very little data to occasionally check on it remotely, i have a 2GB a month data only plan through Tello for $6. This has worked pretty well so far and might be a cheaper option than multiple 4g cameras if you have electricity further away in the property and this router can reach several cameras in the area.
