I have 2 products I've had success with Home Assistant: Poniie PN2500 - uses a cloud service to get data, but maybe you could get it to work. It is a meter only, and I used it to monitor power consumption charging my car before I installed a level 2 charger. Now I use it to monitor power charging my e-bikes. Here is the Amazon link, or you could just search: Monitor your EV charging and electricity usage with the Poniie PN2500 wireless charger. Track power, cost, and more from your phone. Check it out on Amazon - you won't regret it! https://a.co/d/08W5NmMn Years ago, I put together a DIY project called a Tweet-a-Watt. I updated ita few years back to use an ESP32 and locally report power stats via ESPHome/WiFi. That used a P3 Kill-a-watt device which has been rock solid for over 10 years. In case you like electronics projects, that could be fun.
