I use them in both my color changers. This for my grande and this for my 16 inch. How far down the globe sits is right on the aluminized automotive wiring heat shield I use to help shield the LED that runs under the LED rings and out to the middle. Cut the middle hole small enough to have enough left over to cut slots in it to bend upwards and make tabs. Then ran a strip of it more around the tabs to make a ring.
