I like Cobbler's Choice Co. But that is for convenience as much as anything else. Reasonably priced, available off Amazon, they work well, stay black (Ironlace turns grey) and have lots of colors. I have some black+green laces from them for some green boots. The ones I have are listed as kevlar, but they work and feel like braided nylon. Ergo not as rough as Ironlace. I've used there flat waxed cotton before too. I just use laces that complement the boots. I have even reused laces it of running shoes because they were on hand and made the boots look good lol.
