Just give yourself some extra time. Friends waited today in midtown. 3 full trains went by before they were able to get on one. The one they did get on was pretty empty until Hermann Park. Took 35ish min from midtown to the stadium. Seemed like a separate big issue today was security at the stadium. When they were leaving the game. they hung around the stadium a bit, took pics, and bought water to carry with them back on the train which was helpful. Waiting in line to leave stadium for around 30 min. It’s hot but it’s still prob the best option (in terms of affordability and convenience). Just have water and a fan (like this one: https://a.co/d/05a7p0zK).
Yeah, it’s hot, but it’s also free! There’s giant screens to watch the game and some activation spaces. Also great if you want to buy some merch. Go on a day where there’s not a big game playing so it doesn’t reach capacity. Overall, it seems like a fun experience and worth seeing it once. Parking seems like a nightmare. Def take METRO Rail. If you’re coming from the suburbs, metro has park and rides to get you to downtown where you can then connect to the green/purple rail lines. If you’re already inside the loop, I’d recommend parking at a lot near theater district and then taking the rail over. Also these portable fans make a huge difference! https://a.co/d/0aUGUNnY
