depends on your set up. If you have those premade crappie rigs like one of these then you can just tie your braid directly to it's swivel. That's what I prefer to do and it's the easiest for me. If you're gonna use a home made one or a drop shot, you basically have to have a fluoro leader just due to braid's buoyancy and visibility.
