You need to treat all of your cats every month to prevent fleas. I use this on my cat. He never has fleas and he's a feral guy so he's out all the time in the woods around my yard. https://a.co/d/09q1AiAO Then you need to bomb each room of your apt at the same time once a week for three weeks to get all the flea nymphs that will hatch. Bombing sucks. That's why I've treated my dogs and cats monthly for the last 40 yrs. Fleas are easy to prevent and tough to eradicate once there's an infestation. Fleas don't enter a home thru a crack. They hitch a ride on an animal. So, either your animals go outside occasionally or other animals came into your home and brought them. Or your home was infested before you moved in. Fleas can jump 13" high and 18" horizontally. So unless your windows are low to the ground fleas aren't jumping in.
