Oh this is my passion lol. GeneralI own this specific electric scrubber: https://www.target.com/p/sonic-power-electric-scrubber/-/A-91746334. It has been a lifesaver for cleaning. I would probably buy a telescopic/long handled one if I were to buy it again, but this size is also great for doing dishes as I’ve lost some fine motor dexterity and strength. I believe in having garbage cans EVERYWHERE. Anything that can rot or mold goes in the main garbage but I have little office garbages in the living room, bedroom, etc so I don’t let garbage pile up. Because the garbage is this dispersed across so many garbage cans, I don’t have to take any out frequently. For spaces that get messy easily, like where I do my makeup or the kitchen counter, I like to make sure I have Lysol or Clorox wipes always available in that location because it’s easier for me to quickly wipe something down if the tool is there than going and finding wipes or a rag/cleaning spray. I love using my Alexa and smart lights to set visual and audible cues to remind me of things that need to get done too. Lights dim in the evening to remind me to get ready for bed. Reminder in the evening to give my cat their medication. That kind of stuff. For the kitchenI was using paper plates but those mean taking out the garbage more frequently so I bought restaurant baskets and liners like fast food places use. These aren’t the ones I bought but same concept: https://a.co/d/04yGuilv (if you have a restaurant supply store near you, they’ll be much cheaper there lol). Speaking of restaurant supply stores, we are lucky to have one local so instead of glass or plastic food storage containers, I just buy deli containers like these: https://www.uline.com/BL_1517/Deli-Containers?keywords=deli+food+containers for left overs. They can be washed but they’re cheap enough that if something in the back of the fridge rots, I can just throw out the entire container without guilt. For the bathroom:I find things like this extendable scrub brush (non eclectic) great for the tub. No bending over. No stepping into the tub. It makes me more likely to actually clean the shower and tub: https://a.co/d/0cpxaPgi For the toilet I really like something that will help clean the toilet as I go like these clip on toilet cleaners: https://a.co/d/0dpJV2wp. These Lysol ones have a STRONG scent so if you’re sensitive to smells or live in a small space they can be a lot. I find the tablets that go in the back of the toilet to not be super effective but there are other versions of the clip on type from different brands. I think it can also be useful to “habit stack” and just spray down the tub/shower after each use to help prevent soap scum and other build up. I’ve used this spray in the past: https://a.co/d/06R4EqW3. I have also down the vinegar+dawn dish soap in a scrub brush (https://a.co/d/02G8bkpt) hack so things get scrubbed regularly but find it annoying to have to refill the scrub brush lol. BedroomWhenever I can justify the extra expense, I like to buy a new set of sheets. That way I never have to worry if there are clean sheets when I need to change the bed. I might have three dirty sets that need washed but that’s ok lol. I have a laundry basket for darks and one for lights that way when I need to do my laundry I don’t need to sort it. It’s easier to sort as I go. I also have a hamper in the bathroom to put clothes in if I undress there just so they’re off the ground.
