depending on how you clean off you might be scraping off the seasoning and the oil coating is not enough. Yes you're supposed to oil it to prevent rust in between use but occasionally you're supposed to do kind of a deep clean and also re-season it completely with new oil and keeping the temperature at around 375° to 400°F depending on the oil that you're using to season. if you ever get tired of seasoning there is a stainless steel grate option on amazon. i got one and it's much easier to keep clean.https://a.co/d/08I2kM1b
