Did the same thing TRUST ITS leaking get a new one ASAP and dont ride it almost blew my engine by running out of oil found a after market one one from Amazon next day shipping for like 27$ only thing to remember is to reuse the rubber oil ring from your old filter cover since the replacement doesn't have have one i was just gonna use it till I got a OEM but it been running fine since for a 1000 miles oil filter replacement
