I have this exact same powerwheel and I ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE you that it is the board in the front by the battery AND the board that has the buttons/radio in the dash. This power wheel is the most sensitive one ive ever had to any water present. If the boards get wet, they are done. Ive replaced mine both at least 3 times. What I do now is either keep a tarp over the car, or pop out both boards and keep them in the garage with the battery charger, then pop them in when they wanna ride. It takes literally 30 seconds to pop them out and unplug each time and will save them. These boards are dirt cheap. I also recommend replacing the battery as the stock one was a skinny 6 or 7 amp hour battery and the compartment will fit a 12 without any modifications. Also we got ours at Sam's club, and it didnt come with a remote control and didnt even say it was remote controllable in the box or the directions. However the first time the boards went dead and I was checking things out I noticed that underneath of ours there was a motor on the steering rack. The only reason there would be a motor there, is for parentsl remote controrolling the vehicle. So I looked into it and found it was a more expensive option on a higher model. However the only difference to being remote control vs not remote control, is the radio board. And it just so happens that the replacement radio board comes with the remote and is the same price.
