Elbow comfort and front vehicle storage are the main reasons you would decline an otherwise practical vehicle for the family? I feel like you can find a pillow, cover, or reposition the front seat in a way to maximize your left elbow comfort... As for storage.. what exactly are you storing that needs that much room? You have the front cubby, the 2 cup holders, the storage right behind the cup holder and then decent storage in the center console, they do sell organizers for that which allows you to customize how you use that space. Then you have the glove box and the small cubby on the passenger side by the left of the seat. Also storage in both front doors.
