I brought a neck fan and a little portable one. For park days when you’re in the water all the time, it’s not needed. Feel hot? Jump into nearest body of water. We never used the neck fans but I did use my little portable one when waiting in lines and such. The neck fan was too big and not easy to store. my only holy grail items to add to this discourse is a rechargeable handheld fan (truly a godsend for sweaty people like me), a book/kindle for the commute, and a travel pill case with at least one spare of all the essentials (allergy, SSRIs, advil, etc.) in case i rush out the door in the morning and forget.
