This has been asked a bunch of times. I'm not sure if most people who answer have owned both TVs, but I have and can tell you that the G5 is 100% the way to go. I first got the C5 in 83, thinking bigger was better, but was immediately disappointed with it. The C5 is a very underwhelming TV IMHO, I wanted to return it from the day I got it and luckily was able to swap it for a G5. The G5 smokes it on every level and the size difference isn't significant. I didn't feel the 83 was more immersive, if anything it just looked kinda silly in my living room and scaling video even bigger can make it look worse in many cases. The only downside of the G5 is that it doesn't come with a stand, and the one they make for it is $200 and supposedly sucks, so you have buy a table top VESA stand, which is ok, just not as nice or stable as one made for the TV. I got this stand and think it looks the nicest and is also the least expensive. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JGWTNZP
