I'm going to toss this out to see if it might help. I had a Chromecast with Google TV 4K device attached to my main TV for some time. I used it with WiFi for a while, but had an Ethernet hub close by and wanted to wire in directly. I picked up this hub off Amazon based on reviews of others. I plugged the CC directly into one of the USB ports and connected an Ethernet cable. I then plugged the power adapter into another USB port on the hub and everything worked great. I replaced it with the Streamer two years ago and no longer needed it since the Streamer has Ethernet. Now, here's the interesting part: I host a weekly trivia show. I have slides for questions that I run off my old Google Pixelbook. The questions are projected on a big screen TV via HDMI. I attached this same hub to a USB-C port on the Pixelbook. I then attached the HDMI from the TV, along with the Pixelbook's power adapter (the laptop needs direct power due to a weak battery). I also use a small USB-powered "clicker" wand to change the slides on the screen remotely. I plug its USB adapter into the hub and the wand works as well. The point of my tl;dr story here is that this specific hub worked well for me on two different Google devices. One had Google TV and one had ChromeOS, but it worked. This device might be suitable for you. The HDMI and Ethernet ports might not be used, but there are multiple USB ports there. Hope this helps.
