There is no electrical reason it won’t work, but depending on what is inside that cable it mights be stressful on the electronics and noisy AF. Get a 30 dollar hub with 3 data ports on Amazon, then you know they aren’t just coupled together like Christmas lights. I have 2 of these and a bunch of 1 foot cables. I use these (in the US), I have used the prior versions without monitor pass-through support for years. i also use the versions that have both Usb-C and Usb-A ports without PD in the same form factor. I buy these like candy, my kids always need these when they see me. i use them with Linux Mint, Mac (many versions to current), Windows 10 & 11.
