In addition to these great suggestions, there are also lots of good podcasts and videos out there to learn from. For beginners I would suggest Kelly Ann Maddox’s videos on YouTube - i learned my basics from listening to her videos over and over while doing my housework! Biddy tarot podcast is pretty good for beginners but they do tend to self promote their training programs a lot. A very good beginner book - though I don’t like the graphic design style much- I think it’s such a good book I suggest it anyway: Tarot Card Companion by Victoria Maxwell. https://a.co/d/05PpJTzA When ready to go a little deeper and if you like a more spiritual growth approach rather than fortune telling approach check out Tarot for the Wild Soul podcast. another teacher great with this more spiritual growth approach is Jessica Dore, who wrote the wonderful Tarot for Change. Rebecca Pollack and Mary Greer are solid resources and a little more old school. To learn standard fortune telling style meanings Melissa Cynova’s Kitchen Table Tarot is good. If you’re a hard core study nerd and want to know every astrological correspondence check out Benibel Wen. Susan Chang is cool too… Every teacher has a slightly different take on card meanings and that’s part of the beauty of it… so don’t sweat it if different teachers say different things, just take it all in and it will start to make sense over time and you figure out which meanings are working for you and also generate your own meanings.
