They're not good enough if someone is using a leaf blower right outside your window, but if they're down the block from you, then they'll make it very manageable. A good hack for improving the comfort of wearing these for extended periods of time is to put a large, cotton handkerchief over your head, so that the corners fall just below your ears, and then put the headphones on over that. It needs to be large enough that it completely covers your ears. You lose a tiny bit of noise isolation, but the tradeoff is that you can wear them all day and that's definitely worth it!
