I like army painter but vallejo has cheap paint packs for military colors like for astra. https://a.co/d/04X9ayZu and I feel like vallejo just makes better classic military colors. Buy a set of cheap synthetic hobby brushes that range from 0 to 2 or a set of a few variety. A wet pallet. Just something dirt cheap to hold water. Place wax paper or cooking parchment over it and put your paints on it. Use a old cup for water and start painting. Altogether 40 bucks. The good thing about doing it this way is you can buy single colors to supplement and build a collection over time.
