Thanks for replying! I knew I probably got stuff wrong but didn't realize how much. I'll look into getting those resistors and fuses ASAP. You're correct that I should have gotten the Li-Ion batteries. I don't know how I missed that. The LED strip I think is intended to run off of USB power, 5V. I have seen somebody powering a similar strip directly from the charging module. Maybe just lucky? If I wanted 5V output, could I simply use a 5V step up converter like this? https://a.co/d/090Y8Eqf I would most likely be using a commercial USB power bank, so I think that should work for the charger input. For the quick disconnect, would the "power" on/off switch satisfy that requirement? Just need to be sure to have lights off before charging. And 1.5 hours sounds like plenty of runtime.
