That's very odd as dashers tend towards laziness, no doordash, no awkward or risky meeting the person (most common risky issue is them opening the door and their dog running out). Do you always order from the same restaurant? I've seen notes that seem to be from the restaurant (usually a pizza place) telling us to be sure to ring the doorbell. As others suggested, easiest workaround would be taping a piece of paper over the doorbell maybe write on it "leave food, do not ring". For more long term I would think that the electronic doorbells could be programmed to alert your phone but not ring inside the house. I would repeat that this is very odd. It's more work, more hassle, and more (slightly) risk to ring the doorbell, it's not something that should usually be an issue with doordash itself. edit: saw this on amazon -https://www.amazon.com/Nap-Guardian-Original-Universal-SOLICITING/dp/B09MMC3V9P/?th=1
