I have three. My OXO scale, which I use mostly in my kitchen, I’ve had for probably 15 years. A couple of years ago I bought a scale calibration set (for my other two scales) and even after all this time, that OXO scale is still accurate. It’s the OXO Good Grips 11 lb version, which in a quick poke around Amazon seems to have gotten more expensive than it used to be, but the glass top version can still be had for under $40, with the stainless steel around $60. The other two are a bit more accurate (more digits after the decimal) for smaller amounts, so which scale I use depends on what I’m weighing. They’re both from Greater Goods: https://www.amazon.com/Greater-Goods-Digital-Coffee-Scale/dp/B09B4CB7C1/ref=mp_s_a_1_3 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B097Q89BZN/ref=dp_iou_view_item?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I use the first (larger one) for most of my fiber weighing, such as separating fiber for making singles. I use the little one for yarn chicken type stuff, like knitting until I have x grams left to bind off, and for making sure I have accurate weights on my spindles so that when I spin I know how much fiber is on them. Those two are both under $30. If I were only buying one I’d definitely go with the larger one as it’s more versatile. I’ve only had these a couple of years so I can’t really speak to endurance (the scale calibration weights told me they were accurate when I bought them but I haven’t checked since).
