I have the Rescue! Disposable fly traps hanging in the three least used corners of my yard. They don’t completely eliminate the fly problem. But based on how disgustingly full they are when I dispose of them every 2 weeks (or so), they’re definitely helping! It’s too late this year, but the biggest tip for next year is to put them out right before flies start laying their eggs in the Spring (typically as soon as daytime temperatures are consistently 50 to 60°). They smell horrendous, but they’re usually only noticeable if you’re standing near them. I have a whole system now for disposing of them. I buy emesis bags from Amazon because they contain a piece of paper that can absorb a crazy amount of fluid. I slip one of those bags over the fly trap, tie it shut, then pinch the top closed while slowly tilting the bag side to side (so the contents of the fly trap come out slowly enough to be absorbed by the paper). I put those in a heavy duty trash bag then it immediately goes in the trash bin which goes out on the curb for pick up the next day. You’ll want to have a product like this: https://a.co/d/07HlCGFx on hand as well. This has been a lifesaver for the times the trash bags leaked before trash pick up or some of the contents spilled in my yard during disposal. They completely eliminated the smell so that I could safely put my bin bs I in my garage and didn’t have a horde of flies congregate around the spill site. Edited to add: unlike sticky traps, these will not harm birds or pollinators 🙌🏻
