How about mini glass jars from Amazon that are filled with bits & bobs of beach etc for attendees favors, and have them set up with the artwork, a larger jar of sand & some larger shells & a floral display with the beach theme in mind (sea oats, pampas grass, whatever grows near your beaches). I did a similar project after a particularly sad family trip to the beach. I collected some sand & teensy shells while we were there. I bottled them up in tiny cloche jars , put a hanger ribbon thru the top & gave them to family who were on the trip as keepsakes.
