So, i JUST bought myself a cheap tile saw and a lapidary blade for it. Saw goes on sale routinely on amazon for 90 bucks but retails at 110. Blade comes from Kingsley North for 60 bucks with shipping (7"blade). With tax and shipping, well under 200 bucks, even not on sale. https://kingsleynorth.com/DuraSint-Diamond-Tile-Saw-Blade.html?886=26854&887=31788 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003HIWR08 There are 2 versions of the saw. Get the cheap one. I can comfortably cut 2" thick rocks, and with a little work and creaitivity, maybe 3" thick. The faces will shine beautifully when wet, but they still need polishing on their cut faces. Im not at that investment yet...haha. I can post some pics of my janky setup and cut rocks if it's helpful.
I started with the SKIL 7-Inch Wet Tile Saw.
