Same boat with our 4 year old. Two things that were recommended recently was to get a kids sonicare. It has a cool app with it that times, vusualizes, and games teeth brushing. We went from struggling to get our 4 year old to brush to them asking to brush their teeth and being able to do it for up to 2 minutes. Other recommendation was tanners tasty paste. Its tooth paste that pretty much tastes like frosting. Its really improved our dental care after that.
