I’ve been using the meross garage door opener for several years which uses a magnet based sensor and also controls the open/close and has great home assistant and homebridge support if that helps! Just got a small box on amazon that does just this. So inexpensive it doesnt make sense to diy an antenna system. Especially useful for older garage door openers. https://a.co/d/0cz8N5bQ
