Options: if your worried about it folding, simple fix, is a piece of heat shrink on the hinge, that will also seal the area. on one of my earliest nodes, I used this antenna, I simply printed a plastic sleeve, just for the base, (it covered the hinge down to the surface of the enclosure) sealed it with silicone to waterproof the whole, thing. been running for over a year non-stop, I don't even have access to it anymore. not even updates. change it to a whip, like the Muzi or Gizont (narrow based version not the wide one) these are the best whips. Change it for a Alpha, N-connector type antenna. this will require you to put an adaptor. Or put a fiberglass antenna, this may require an adaptor and a mount, and a short low loss coax jumper. this would be the more complicated option. but could give you the best results.
