So the probe g1 uses h6054 (or similar, I have a 94 g2 so I just googled the g1 part number) headlights which are sealed beam, back before every car had a custom housing. The neat thing is these have wide applicability, so despite their age, after market still makes them in a variety of shapes/sizes/etc with fully self enclosed electronics. You can drop something like this as a direct replacement by just plugging in the existing connector. I haven't purchased the exact one, but if you just search the factory bulb number (something like h4666 or h6054) on Amazon or elsewhere you'll find a good variety of styles that will drop right in.
