Option number 2 is what you want to go with. Replace the amplifier with a 5-1675mhz splitters and use 70db MoCA filters if needed for best results. If you have cable Internet with DOCSIS 3.1 modem and it uses part of the coax you plan to use with MoCA you might want to look at this diagram that shows the connections. The problem with the amplifier is that it ups the signal strength in one direction but not the other. MoCA is bi directional since the devices need to talk to each other. .... and while those coax connectors look like they have crappy connections, if they are tight and the connector doesn't fall off they should be good for now, but I would look into getting compression fittings and compression tool to fix them in the future.
