I've been an avid reader forever, and I LOVE romance novels. I'll read almost any trope, genre, and theme. I have written for years, but finally decided to start self publishing some of my work after leaving my corporate job 😄First time posting here, so I hope I did this right... My feelings about tropes: I worked in digital marketing for over a decade, so I'm inclined to like trope based marketing, because I think it's a good guide, and also helps with search engine optimization and helping the right reader find the right books. BUT, I also kind of hate it because I think it looks ridiculous in the subtitles. And yes, I have caved to Amazon's pressure and included tropes in my subtitle haha. I actually tried to keep my book blurb relatively trope keyword free for This Love is PERMANENT: After a panic attack shatters her perfect corporate life, Chloe Daniels walks away from the career and city that have been slowly draining her. Trading corporate chaos for Cape Cod calm, she’s ready for quiet mornings, ocean breezes, and absolutely zero stress. All she wants to do is focus on finally writing her book, breathing the salty air, taking long walks, and reinventing the vision she has for herself. Then she meets Jett Lawson. Tattooed, sharp‑tongued, and annoyingly perceptive, the local literary bad‑boy sees straight through her polished persona. He’s everything Chloe doesn’t need… and exactly what she can’t seem to resist. Jett pushes her to loosen up and finally chase the life she’s been too scared to want. But opening her heart to him means risking the carefully controlled world she left behind. Falling for him means letting go of the woman she’s always been told she should be. On the coast where she came to find herself, Chloe might just lose her heart instead.
