Okay well I was gonna say that Hahnemühle def sells hardback 300gsm cold press sketchbooks, but now I'm realizing that all my books from them are 250gsm. They do seem the zig zag book at 300gsm - https://www.johnnealbooks.com/product/hahnemuhle-zigzag-watercolor-book-300gsm?setCurrencyId=1&sku=P151-5cm%20Square There are a few brands that I think started as Chinese knockoffs on Amazon but actually sell surprisingly nice books, Funto, tumuarta, and Lightwish. I know, I know, but like, 300gsm 100% cotton hot or cold hardbacks in a variety of sizes? Yes please. I like to test out art supplies for fun (def a shopping addiction but w/e), and these books are surprisingly nice. Plus the low price makes you feel less guilt about practicing and being messy instead of being perfect. These three also don't smell bad like Arches (sorry, it's wonderful paper but stinky when wet), although I can confirm only that tumuarta's sizing is vegan. I've only just started with prepping sketchbook paper before use, so no guarantees on how well that works just yet. Lightwish also makes pre cut/hole punched paper for binders, and I like the idea of them, where I can take out "bad" pages and just have the nice ones or add more. But I guess you could do that with any binder and your favorite paper. Funto (https://a.co/d/08IVdOqm) Tumuarta (https://a.co/d/0j7n5qWS) Lightwish (https://a.co/d/03ClRufh) Lastly, have you considered making your own? It's a little time consuming, but you get to pick your paper, the size, the format, etc.
