https://a.co/d/08WdAt7Y The key with this swamp is its light power consumption. On a sunny day, my solar panel can charge the battery at a higher wattage than the cooler consumes. As long as I keep it supplied with water, I can essentially run it indefinitely without depleting the battery.

My library has a broken HVAC in part of the building for a second summer and I'm also feeling enormously frustrated and helpless. OSHA guidelines are unfortunately close to useless when it comes to working inside in high temperatures. Since you're inside, you've already got shade, and access to water, and likely you have the breaks as well. I wish I had actual advice to offer you. I can at least recommend a swamp cooler for helping to cool your personal space. Your thermometer doesn't show the relative humidity, but as long as you have a dry inside climate, an evaporative swamp cooler can help. My library got us this one (Hessaire Evaporative Cooler) and it works astonishingly well for my small/medium office. Before you invest in an evaporative cooler, make sure you know how these things work and are aware of the humidity in your space. They can be exceptionally effective but ONLY if you are working to ensure the evap cooler has the conditions it needs to actually work. You absolutely need: A relatively dry environment Opportunity for cooler/warmer air to be exchanged (open window or door) I position mine in the doorway of my office so that there can be cool air pushed in to the office and the warmer air out. My smallish office usually sits around 45% humidity and when I run the swamp cooler, it brings the temperature down but it also brings the humidity up. I also got a dehumidifier to help pull moisture out of the air so that the swamp cooler can work more effectively for longer. I will run the evap cooler until the humidity reaches about 60% and then I turn it to fan only and let the humidity fall. Once the humidity gets back down to under 50% I turn the water pump back on again. It's not an actual air conditioner and if you are using it in a large eropen space, it will mostly just provide a cooler bubble for you to exist in. But that might help you survive the summer.

They will sit in front of it for about 5 hours or so. PS: are those Chocolate Orpingtons? They're adorable. ☺️
