I can highly recommend the FEIT WiFi connected dimmer/switch. Cheaper than Lutron/Leviton/TP-Link and has been rock solid for years here at home. Installed a few at a friend’s Airbnb a two years ago for the very same reason, guests leaving lights on (and to turn on welcoming lights for arriving guests). No hub needed.
