I just bought a regular fan at Lowes (They basically all have a remote/RF module now, can't really find a "dumb" fan anymore). Oh and make sure the light only has a single led color, not multi (dimmable is fine) But it was this one:https://www.lowes.com/pd/Harbor-Breeze-A-52-in-Elms-Crystal-Ceiling-Fan-with-5-Plywood-Blades-BN-Finish-6-Speed-Remote-Control-Adjustable-White-LED-Module-Included/5002006315 I just basically opened up the base of the fan, cut out the RF module and connected the wires directly to the ones coming from the ceiling (Although mine already had an extra red cable for the separate power to the light with the 14/3 romex, you might have to run your own if it's not already there). Tried drawing a picture, but basically after cutting the black module out, connect white to white, black to black, and red to blue. The black goes to power the fan and will have it's own switch at the wall and the red will power the light and will have it's own switch at the wall (both of these switches are in the single Kasa Fan switch though) Here is the Kasa Fan switch to control both the fan and light at different levels independently:https://www.amazon.com/Kasa-Smart-Adjustable-Brightness-KS240/dp/B0CTDCQJVZ?th=1 Like I mentioned before, this works perfect and instantaneous if you get a fan with a single LED color (the one I bought and linked above has 3 different LED color options, so the light part of the switch is a bit wonky). The fan works without a problem setting the levels, but since I have a multi colored led light, it doesn't work properly. If I turn on the light, there's about a 2 or 3 second delay before it actually lights up. And while it's on, if I try to adjust the brightness, it does go down/up, but the color also changes from warm white to cool white and usually just stays at that color until i turn it off and back on again. Luckily, it defaults to warm white when turning it on, so as long as I just set the correct brightness level I want the first time, it stays warm white, so I just basically have to deal with the 3 second delay to turn on. (BUT, like I mentioned, these problems would probably not exist if your fan only has a single dimmable light color).

Pretty sure this would work https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CTDCQJVZ Or you could add a wifi receiver to a ceiling fan, or get one with one built in. I have a Bond ceiling fan that incorporates well into other automations.

I hear people talking about this Kasa switch Easily control ceiling fan's 4 speeds, light brightness with Kasa Smart app or voice commands. Works with Alexa, Google, and Apple HomeKit. Check it out on Amazon - you won't regret it! https://a.co/d/07v2t5p6 I don’t have this one but do have a smart motion switch and it’s pretty good and nice no problems and works with google or Alexa
