Not vet advice: check in with vet. is her pain well managed? could something be going on? etc. LOW litter boxes with almost no entry. Try putting pee pads in one. if you're using newspaper pellets (often recommended by surgeons as regular litter can irritate the wound and cause issues), it can be painful on their paws so they avoid it, and just using plain pee pads until she's feeling better may help with that. There used to be softer paper pellets I recommended but petco stopped making them! 😞 better pee pads. if you're in the US, for something that will ship fast... https://www.amazon.com/McKesson-UPHV3036-StayDry-Ultra-Underpads/dp/B00BE5D2FA/ these have a lot more fluff and are designed to wick away human incontinence levels of moisture quickly to protect skin, they're so much better than the thin blue pads. lay them all over and change when soiled. Even if she lays right on it while it is wet, she will not get as wet. If you have a medical supply/home healthcare supply shop nearby, fairly likely they have these for sale as well, just pick thick ones that are meant for heavy levels of fluid. no idea if this actually works for any reason other than the catnip in it lol, but if you do have a catnip sensitive cat https://www.amazon.com/Virbac-Diffuser-Managing-Stress-Related-Behaviors/dp/B0DVMCNP2Z/ seems to really attract them. you could try putting this by the litter box. I'll warn to keep it OUT OF REACH as catnip sensitive kitties will absolutely try to lick it, open it, etc. if she's soiled with pee, ask your vet how to safely clean her. our vet let us spray our tripod with plain clean water while avoiding her incision site, just cautioned not to wet the incision or do baths until it was well healed and staples were out. you can get an empty spray bottle, fill with warm water, and spray gently only on safe areas. You can also at least use a warm wet washcloth to clean the genital area to ensure she doesn't get super irritated from the pee. if she has peed on carpet, I cannot recommend enough (if you don't already have one) paying up the $150 or so for a full-size carpet washer (NOT the little portable ones) and using with a compatible cleaner that is designed for pet urine. The portable units do not clean well enough. Hand scrubbing will not clean well enough. Pee will soak in and attract them to keep coming back and peeing. It's a huge issue. A good carpet washer is worth it's weight in gold. Check for new smells regularly and clean them promptly. If she pees on soft things you can launder like towels or blankets, double washing hot with any decent enzymatic cleaner should sort it. I'm so sorry you're all going through this. I hope something helps ASAP.
