I have a wet autofeeder. Fill the tray once a day and replace the ice packs to keep it from spoiling. Wash and towel dry when it gets icky, small portions throughout the day encourage the cats to eat slower. I have this style but they also make a stainless steel tray which would be easier to keep clean, and I've seen ones with fewer cups - i just have an elderly cat who needs to eat every three hours.
