Thanks for this. Just fixed mine and it's perfect now using this method. I originally used stiffer EVA foam that was 2mm thick and it was way too stiff, so redid it using a softer foam that's 1mm thick and linked below. (So 5mm x 5mm x 1mm and leave the sticker on the top so it only sticks to the board and not the dpad) https://a.co/d/0bHrNfjn
