Is this the Intel or amd variant? I have a 990 pro and I also added the oem thermal top heatsink that you don't get when you have the slower oem drives as they don't deem it hot enough. The 990 pro really needs the extra sink. Also mine has the full under pad and the top pad on the extra copper sink. Not sure why you cut the pad shorter? This is the sink.
